Thinking About Joining Stampin’ Up! in Canada?

Start Here.

Whether you’re curious about the demonstrator discount, looking for a creative community, or wondering if becoming a demonstrator is the right fit, you’re in the right place.

Joining doesn’t have to mean starting a business — many demonstrators simply join because they love crafting and want to save on products they already buy. No pressure, no hype: just clear answers from someone who’s been exactly where you are.

First things first

Is Joining Stampin’ Up! Right for You?

There isn’t one “type” of Stampin’ Up! demonstrator — some join to save on products they love, others for community, income, or simply more reason to craft.

Most people join for one simple reason: they want more from a hobby they already love. That was me, nine years ago — no grand plan, just love for the products and the community.

You already love paper crafting

You want to save on the products you buy and enjoy more value from a hobby you already care about.

You want creativity to feel easier

You’d love to spend more time creating and less time wondering what to make, what to buy, or where to start.

You want crafty community

You’d enjoy a welcoming group that shares ideas, celebrates wins, and understands your love of pretty paper.

Choose your own path

The Different Reasons People Join Stampin’ Up!

One of the biggest misconceptions about becoming a demonstrator is that everyone joins for the same reason. They don’t. Some never sell a single thing. Others build creative businesses. Most fall somewhere in between — and reasons often change over time.

The Savvy Shopper

You already love Stampin’ Up! products and place orders throughout the year. Joining gives you access to demonstrator pricing, early product releases, and exclusive resources.

Your goal isn’t to build a business. It’s to enjoy your hobby while getting more value from the supplies you already love.

The Hobby Crafter

You love making cards and want crafting to become a bigger part of your life.

You’re excited by new products, techniques, events, and inspiration. The discount is a lovely bonus, but it’s not the only reason you join.

The Community Seeker

For you, crafting is about more than the finished card.

It’s about spending time with people who encourage you, share ideas, and understand your passion for making something by hand.

The Creative Entrepreneur

You love paper crafting and see an opportunity to earn a modest supplemental income while sharing something you genuinely enjoy.

Whether your goal is to cover the cost of your hobby or build something bigger, you can grow at your own pace.

There isn’t one “right” reason to join.

Many demonstrators begin as a Savvy Shopper or Hobby Crafter and later discover they enjoy teaching classes, sharing projects, or building a business. Others are perfectly happy staying exactly where they started.

The journey is yours to shape.

No awkward guessing

Still Wondering?

If you’re like most people, you probably still have a few questions. Good. Questions are welcome here.

Do I have to sell Stampin’ Up! products?

No. Many demonstrators join simply because they enjoy crafting and want to save on the products they already buy. You decide how involved you want to be, and that can change over time.

Do I have to hold classes or workshops?

Nope. Some demonstrators teach classes, host events, or share tutorials online. Others never do any of those things. There isn’t one “right” way to enjoy being a demonstrator.

Do I have to sponsor other people?

Nope. If someone asks you about joining or you decide you’d like to grow a team one day, you can. But it is never a requirement. Many demonstrators never sponsor another person and are perfectly happy enjoying the hobby, community, and demonstrator benefits.

Can I join just for the discount?

Absolutely. In fact, many people do. If you already enjoy Stampin’ Up! products, joining can simply be a way to receive demonstrator pricing, early access to new products, and exclusive demonstrator resources.

How much is the demonstrator discount?

Stampin’ Up! demonstrators receive a 20% – 25% product discount on their purchases.

If you’re wondering whether the discount makes sense for your crafting habits, I’m happy to help you look at it honestly. Sometimes joining is a great fit. Sometimes staying a customer is the better choice. Both are completely fine.

What if I’ve never made a card before?

You’re welcome here, too. Everyone starts somewhere. Whether you’re completely new or have been crafting for years, you’ll find support, inspiration, and plenty of opportunities to learn at your own pace.

What happens if I decide it’s not for me?

That’s okay. Life changes, hobbies change, and priorities change. If you decide being a demonstrator is no longer the right fit, you can simply let your demonstratorship end. There’s no awkward phone call or long-term commitment.

How does the direct sales model work?

Stampin’ Up! uses a direct sales model, which means products are shared through independent demonstrators instead of traditional retail stores.

For me, that relationship matters. My role is to help you understand the products, choose supplies that work together, and feel supported in actually using what you buy. The goal is not pressure. The goal is guidance, creativity, and community.

Can I build a business later if I don’t start that way?

Yes. You don’t have to decide everything on day one. Many demonstrators begin for the discount or community, then later discover they enjoy sharing projects, teaching classes, or helping others get started. Your goals can grow and change over time.

The community you join with me

Meet The Creative Canadians

When you join Stampin’ Up! with me, you’ll also become part of The Creative Canadians—my community of Canadian demonstrators who believe crafting is even better when it’s shared.

You’ll gain access to monthly team socials, prize patrol, creative inspiration, and an instant group of crafty friends who share your love of paper crafting.

My goal has never been to build the biggest team. It’s to build a community where people genuinely enjoy creating together, celebrate each other’s successes, and always feel welcome.

4,000+ Demonstrators in Canada

A creative Canadian community connected through Stampin’ Up! products, events, and inspiration.

55,000+ Demonstrators Worldwide

Across 12 countries, all connected by a shared love of creativity and handmade cards.

Our shared purpose

Creating More Than Cards

One of my dreams for The Creative Canadians is to build a community that creates a positive impact beyond the craft room.

As our team grows, we’ll continue finding opportunities to share handmade kindness by donating cards to people and organizations who may be experiencing loneliness or isolation.

Because while we love beautiful cards, we believe the real magic is the connection they create.

Your next step

Does This Feel Like the Right Fit?

If you’ve made it this far, you probably have a pretty good sense of whether becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator feels like the right fit for you.

If it does, the final decision is simply who you’d like to join with.

There are thousands of demonstrators across Canada, and each brings something a little different. My hope is that you’ll choose someone whose teaching style, values, and community feel like the right fit for you.

If that’s me, I’d be honoured to welcome you to The Creative Canadians.

I’ll be here to answer your questions, celebrate your milestones, share what I’ve learned over the past nine years, and help you make the most of your Stampin’ Up! journey—whatever that looks like for you.

I hope one day we’ll be creating together around the same craft table.

Whether you decide to join this week, next year, or simply keep enjoying the hobby as a customer, I hope our paths cross around a craft table someday.
